April Hospitality is a logical extension of the expertise I've acquired over more than 50 years. From the family business, Auberge sur Mer, through the general management of a 5-star and 4-diamond hotel for 35 years, the acquisition of a banner hotel, the Quality Inn in Rivière-du-Loup, and my involvement in numerous tourism industry committees, the road has been long, but beautiful, and above all, rich in experiences of which I am very proud.

My thoughts for the future of the Quebec hotel industry after the global pandemic, my son Julien's aspiration to continue the family tradition of hospitality, the desire of seasoned collaborators to invest in the development of the Quebec hotel industry (I'm thinking here of my good friend Paolo Di Pietrantonio), access to financial assets through Groupe Jacques Tanguay, and the growing needs at all levels for hotel owners in Quebec and Canada all led me to come up with an ambitious business plan.

Alain April

4th generation from father to son in the hotel business

In addition to being co-owner of the Bonne Entente, a 5-star, 4-diamond hotel, and the Quality Inn Rivière-du-Loup, Alain April manages several renowned hotels, where he advises owners and management teams on product, process development and diversification. Over the past 20 years, he has received numerous awards and honors for his dedication and achievements.

Julien April

Julien April

5th generation from father to son in the hotel business

A university graduate in international hotel management, Julien April has worked for world-renowned hotel chains such as Fairmont and Intercontinental, as well as the consulting firm Horwath HTL, before helping to open the Entourage sur-le-Lac hotel in 2017, where he is general manager. Since 2021, he has been co-owner of the Quality Inn in Rivière-du-Loup, and sits on the board of the Association hôtelière de la région de Québec as Vice-President.

Louis Marc Nadeau

Louis Marc Nadeau

A 1989 graduate of the ITHQ in hotel management, preceded by a preparatory year in foodservice, Mr. Nadeau has worked in many prestigious establishments in the United States, Paris, Vancouver, Halifax and Quebec. He was instrumental in launching the Hotel W Montreal, and was general manager in residence at Hôtel Sacacomie for 4 years.

Marc Ruest

Marc Ruest

Marc Ruest has over 30 years of experience in the hotel industry, notably with the Fairmont and Choice Hotels chains, and more recently as General Manager of the new Hôtel du Domaine and Hôtel-Musée Premières Nations. His strengths lie in managing all hotel and restaurant operations, human resources and revenue management.

Alain Gobeil

Alain Gobeil

Alain Gobeil is a food and beverage specialist with extensive experience as Chef and Food and Beverage Director at prestigious hotels, such as Fairmont The Palm and Raffles The Palm, both in Dubai. Since his return to Quebec, he has worked as a senior consultant for numerous hotels and restaurants.

Simon Gagné

Holding a CPA designation since 2007, Mr. Gagné has seasoned multidisciplinary corporate experience, in addition to being a strategic financial consultant. He excels in improving the quality and timeliness of financial data and administrative processes. He is an invaluable asset for successfully completing investment projects and financing applications.
